My main photographic passion is for helping businesses and organisations to make practical, profitable use of commercial photography.
I originally studied photography at Barking College in the early 1980s. When I successfully finished the course, I embarked on a photographic career with a large Essex-based commercial studio as a darkroom technician and assistant.
My next step was to bag the main role of photographer, a role in which I thrived. I remained with the company until the mid 1990s, developing my skills. From there, I left for a new position in London.
In my new role, my experience grew, the work became more prestigious and my opportunities expanded, leading me to work not just in the UK but also overseas. During this period of my career, digital photography arrived and improved rapidly, bringing fresh and exciting new challenges. By 2012, I felt the time had come for me to strike out on my own and Andy Rose Photography was born.
Today I live in the picturesque town of Leigh-on-Sea on the Thames Estuary with my wife Teresa and our rescue dog, Patch. My interests include food and cookery, being outdoors and tinkering with guitars and motorbikes… and of course everything to do with photography!
